What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at ABA+?
As a Direct Support Professional, you'll work one-on-one with individuals in their homes and communities (not in a center). You'll play a vital role in supporting them as they build skills, pursue their interests, and improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring, support, and social activities to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Assist with daily living activities such as socializing, getting out into the community, and learning daily living skills such as meal preparation or running errands for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of your client at all times.
- Promote and uphold the rights and dignity of your clients.
- Support the goals of the client, the family, and the team.
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress.

Qualifications:
First Aid & CPR Certification
Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Able to assist clients with mobility or transfers if necessary
Able to create and maintain documentation and familiarity with EVV (Electronic Visit Verification)
