As an Experience Marketing Manager North America you will be part of the Global Experience Marketing Team , working in close collaboration with regional sales and marketing team as well as with the Global Marketing und Communication teams at ABB E-mobility.

You will be responsible and accountable for the planning, management, optimization, execution, and reporting of event activities across North America. You will work with your stakeholders to develop and align strategies for live and virtual event experiences which create, and nurture leads and generate brand awareness in defined target markets in North America. You will be responsible for defining all event-related activities according to the Regional Sales and Marketing Strategy and align it with the relevant stakeholders. You furthermore will plan and execute these activities. You will lead and work in small and mid-size cross-functional projects in parallel, adapt plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges, and you will be dealing with stakeholders across hierarchies. In this role you apply your understanding of the business and how your own area is connected and integrates with others. You will demonstrate your ability to guide and influences others either internally or externally to adopt a different point of view, if needed.

At the same time, you are maintaining alignment to the positioning and messaging set by both other internal stakeholders, such as the Communication and Sales Department, and the rest of the Marketing Team.

You will furthermore support and/or lead workstreams within Marketing & Comms global cross-functional projects with a live or virtual event component happening in North America, such as Customer events or internal events.

Target Salary Range: $120,000-140,000 Annual Incentive plan

In This Role Your Main Accountabilities Will Be

  • Lead planning and execution of live and virtual event formats including industry events and trade shows, conferences, roadshows, partner events and other ABB E-mobility own internal and events across North America.
  • You will Develop and manage event strategy for North America, align messaging, content, operations, activation and tracking with stakeholders.
  • Lead, manage, and support cross-functional project teams.
  • Plan and manage timeline, resource, and asset availability for assigned projects.
  • Budget management and cost controlling for all assigned projects.
  • Agency and supplier management.
  • If needed act as the host for our internal and customer events, e.g. Regional Sales Kick Off, Customer receptions and networking events
  • Ensure lead collection and assignment at trade shows and conferences and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of our event initiatives in North America, collect, and provide timely evaluations of various event activities, and make recommendations to optimize our end-to-end event experience.

To make the above work, we need an autonomous marketing master with:

  • University degree and 5-8 years related experience in marketing or sales.
  • A track record of success in managing project ranging from small to diverse and complex, ideally in the technology/software industry marketing.
  • Experience working in marketing and sales organizations in and outside the event business.
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder management and working in a decentralized global organization in a strongly dynamic transformational phase
  • Have a good understanding of embedding events in other marketing channels and activities, e.g. social media, email nurture, partner marketing, co-marketing programs (CaaC)
  • Experience and understanding of lead collection and management before, during and after an event
  • Experience in steering agencies and specialized event suppliers
  • Have a high level of attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing, deadline orientated priorities simultaneously.
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills and working easily with many hierarchy levels of the company.
  • Must-have: knowledge about and experience in using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira and WorkFront; event applications and management tools, e.g. SwapCard, 6Connex, Cvent, PowerPoint, and CMS, e.g. Sales Force, Marketo, Integrate
  • Nice to have: knowledge about or experience in working with survey tools like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey and content management tools, e.g. contently
  • Comfortable with travelling to events across North America
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
  • International relocation is not available for this position
