Senior Control Engineer
Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.\n\nOptimize the Production organization's processes and equipment to minimize labor hours in ac-cordance with Lean 6Sigma methodology and business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.\n\nThe work model for the role is: ONSITE\n\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\n Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to Lean 6Sigma methodologies.\n Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.\n Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.\n Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.\n\nOur team dynamics\nYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical engineering PLUS 2 years experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean principles (Green belt a plus)
  • CAD experience
  • Knowledge of Automatic Transfer Switches is a plus
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
