Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats individuals for the purpose of participation in roles and situations in the hospital and with outpatient services, by the use of therapeutic exercises, physical modalities and education as prescribed by a physician. Oversees and monitors occupational therapy needs of Swing Bed patients. Monitors patient's response and progress, modifying the treatment plan accordingly and documents same on medical record.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program at either Baccalaureate or Master's degree level.
Minimum Experience Requirement
Minimum one (1) year experience as a licensed occupational therapist in a clinical care setting preferred.
Minimum License Requirement
Current active licensure as a an Occupational Therapist. BLS Required.
Physical Requirement/Working Conditions
Walking or standing a significant amount of time. Must be able to treat patients in an acute care or outpatient setting. External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.
