Job Summary
- Demonstrates the ability to assess each case and adapt service plan throughout the life of the case.
- Demonstrates sound and productive counseling skills.
- Documents all contacts appropriately in case record. Writes timely, clear and concise progress notes and other documents as required.
- Screens for human trafficking concerns
- Help young ones identify and screen prospective sponsors. Manages reunification process.
- Provide youth with guidance on activities of daily living, including good personal hygiene. Provides guidance on positive behaviors, including household routines.
- Establishes effective collegial relationship with Site Supervisor.
- Effectively coordinates inter and intra-agency services to clients.
- Attends meetings and otherwise monitors the provision and documentation of educational services.
- Makes timely and appropriate referrals for medical services, health screening and mental health assessment of young persons.
- Makes meaningful contributions to agency, departmental and unit programming.
- Responds to client emergencies 24/7.
- Develops sound working relationships with staff of outside agencies.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry out the above responsibilities in a professional manner.
- Any other related duties as required.
- Master's Degree required (MSW, MA/MS, MMHC)
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience in child welfare.
- Knowledge of child welfare/child protective services.
- Experience with Evidence-Based Models. Strong interest in working with children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds. Strong clinical, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to facilitate trainings.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English both written and oral required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
