What are the responsibilities and job description for the Card Services Specialist position at Abbott Laboratories Employees Credit Union?
SUMMARY: Assists members while performing functions related to card management. Monitors all fraud activity and perform functions to promote fraud related protection measures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Card Function:- Orders plastics for all debit and credit cards to include re-issues for fraud and lost/stolen cards
- Monitors plastic for Instant Issue debit card inventory and replenish as necessary
- Performs daily credit and debit card adjustments
- Refunds credit and debit card fraud
- Preps credit and debit card orders and hot cards for imaging
- Processes monthly report and monitor expiring debit cards
- Reviews monthly credit and debit card fraud reports
- Completes credit and debit card fraud chargeback function
- Reads all incoming alert Fraud alerts and distribute to appropriate staff
- Monitors and reports any fraud related item or trends to management and risk
- Prepares monthly fraud reports
- Monitors CAMS report and account compromises. Assists in account re-issues
- Runs courtesy pay reports to include 15 day negative, aging and month end reports
- Completes courtesy pay/overdrawn account collections
- Processes charged off accounts to include share accounts
- Completes member expulsions
- Forwards designated charged off accounts to Transworld/CU Collections
- Updates Chex Systems
- Submits fraud claims to CUNA Mutual
- Orders, receives and distributes real estate appraisal requests
- Monitors real estate professional appraisal individual fil
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience Required: One (1) year of customer service or retail sales experience
- Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of customer service experience in a financial institution in the processing of VISA, fraud and collection
