What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Interventionist position at AbilityPath?

AbilityPath is hiring Early Interventionists or Early Childhood Special Educators to join our team!

We have openings for an Early Interventionist or Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) to join our amazing Children's Therapy team to deliver early intervention services for children and their families!

Work in collaboration and alongside Occupational and Speech Language Pathologist Therapists to support young children and families Deliver services that focus on cognitive, communication and social skill development to maximize developmental progress and skill acquisition in individual sessions and classroom settings

We have opportunities in our Burlingame and Redwood City Clinics!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Facilitate group and individual developmental sessions
  • Provide case management
  • Maintain a standard caseload of individual clients
  • Conduct assessments and write reports
  • Provide parent education and support
  • Conduct home visits
  • Participate in provision of each child's IFSP treatment plan through interagency collaboration
  • Partner with families for the development and implementation of individual program goals
  • Oversee children's integration into the community adhering to program objectives while maintaining a safe environment
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of classroom activities (including set-up and clean-up of class, organization of classroom and program materials)
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field
  • Experience teaching children ages 0-5 years old
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
  • Minimum one year experience in a pediatric setting
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle to conduct home visits as scheduled
  • Experience providing virtual services

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid California Driver's License/ID
  • Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of occupational physical clearance
  • Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance


PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

  • Ability to drive personal vehicle to conduct home visits
  • Ability to physically manage children up to 40 lbs. (carrying, positioning)
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently
  • Ability to sit and keyboard as needed
