What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repair Technician- Services, Inc position at Able Aerospace?
JOB SUMMARY:
Hand finish and deburr a wide variety of metal parts and castings for the industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Basic knowledge of General / Principal Methods of Operation (RP's, OH, DE, SOPMs)
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Disassembly functions performed
- Perform installation of Inserts and Studs (Interface Fit, Slip Fit, Force Mate) to specified requirements and tolerances.
- Comprehend and use torque values.
- Perform installation and bonding of details into parts (Hysol, Loctite).
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed properly.
- Perform rework assignments as required by SME/Supervisor.
- Utilize and care for a variety of tools.
- Assist with and abide by shelf life compliance.
- Ensure all DOT Hazards Waste Management and Procedure are followed.
- Work with EH&S Policies, Hazard Communication & Hazardous Materials.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification
- FAA Airframe and Power plant certificate preferred
EXPERIENCE:
0-6 months aircraft maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable
