POSITION SUMMARY
This position will play a key role in designing, maintaining, coordinating and implementing the training programs for Abound Credit Union departments, newly hired staff, and existing staff; as directed by the Director of Learning and Organizational Development, and in keeping with the strategic plan for the credit union. The Learning Coordinator will focus a significant amount of time on preparing online training, correspondence, manuals, spreadsheets, and all other necessary training materials and communications utilizing a broad range of computer applications, products, and tools. Direct interaction with branch and retail staff will be a regular occurrence through offering training and support via a broad range of communication processes.
This position may require travel between branches and departments using personal vehicle. This position may require irregular hours at times in order to meet organizational needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Enthusiastically promote the sales and service culture of Abound. Promote the cross-sale of CU products and services, maintaining up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all CU products and services that are handled or promoted by the credit union.
  • Conduct appropriate and as-needed training on processes, systems, SOPs, regulations, products and services and other topics as outlined in SOP G-112, and/or in accordance with organizational needs as directed by the Director of Learning and Organizational Development.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement training programs for new branch personnel that incorporate branch, call center, and department on the job experiences and online training and testing.
  • Assist in training retail staff, other support staff, and department staff as required/directed and in alignment with strategic priorities and quality service to members.
  • Contribute to, enforce, and assist in updating annual organizational training calendar, based on needs and strategic plan.
  • Create and develop training surveys and evaluations in order to gauge feedback; conveying results objectively to manager, and applying feedback to existing training strategies to improve, adjust, and launch successful training updates and material.
  • Travel may be required to branches and departments for individual or group training.
  • Prepare training correspondence, manuals, spreadsheets, and all other communications utilizing a broad range of computer applications.
  • Create, develop, and conduct new employee orientation to cover content ranging from credit union basics, differences between credit unions and banks, Abound history and development, and connections to current Abound cultural and strategic focus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. This list of essential functions is not exhaustive or all-inclusive. Essential duties will be supplemented and adjusted as deemed necessary by management. Tasks, workloads, expectations, and assignments are subject to change based on organizational need, strategic plan, and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field from an accredited college/university or progress towards completion, or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of loan, teller, and member service operations/procedures.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and communicate moderately complex information both orally and in writing.
  • Professional, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver formal instruction to individuals or groups ranging in size from one to 30.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer with a high level of proficiency in such software applications as Microsoft Office items (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and email. Ability to operate a fax, calculator, copier, scanner, and other office equipment necessary to perform essential functions of position.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain absolute security of highly confidential personal information.
  • Familiarity/use and a basic understanding of Cuna Professional Development (CPD) Online learning system.

DESIRED:

  • Experience in conducting training, formal instruction, and/or public speaking.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Articulate, other computer applications.
  • Proficiency in CU systems including Teller Navigator, Akcelerant, Application Extender, and Bridger XG.
  • Previous experience in training, human resources, or administration functions for either.
