Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care, companionship, and daily living support. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any concerns promptly
- Administer medication accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met with nutritious options
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties, laundry assistance, and sanitation practices
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s
to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges - Observe and document changes in residents’ condition or behavior; communicate effectively with healthcare teams to update care plans
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental well-being
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures; participate in ongoing training for dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, hospice care, autism spectrum disorders, and working with people with disabilities
- Support residents during emergencies or incidents by coordinating with emergency responders when necessary
- Assist in developing personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
Experience
- Prior experience working in home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring methods
- Experience with medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing tasks is advantageous
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Hands-on experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is desirable
- Background in home health services can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and team members
