What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guardrail Installer/Technician position at Above All Construction?
Above All Contracting, a statwide highway contstruction, and maintenance contractor, is looking for general laborers, and supervisors for multiple projects. This is a full time position.
Pay is dependent on experience, and qualifications. Work is primarily located in the San Antonio, and surrounding area, but can require travel at times. Usually, never more than a week at a time.
Experience:
- Must have at least 2 years recent experience in a construction setting, as a general laborer, or supervisor/superintendent.
- Must be able to pass a drug test, and criminal background check
- Reliable transportation is required
- Must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work overtime, or weekends, if needed
Day to day operations will consist of the following:
- Loading, and unloading trailer with material for the day
- Operating skid steer to remove old guardrail posts, and railing
- Using auger to drill new post holes, and hang new railing
- Properly align the guardrail, and posts to required standard
- Filling in, and tamping post holes, after new posts are installed
- Bolting, and securing all new railing to posts, and rail.
- Setting up proper traffic control when needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
