POSITION SUMMARY:
· Machine operator takes care of machine specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. The operator will work to ensure the machine is performing at full capacity and will oversee the machine maintenance and timely quality checks. The operator will work within a team construct and will direct crew members to ensure optimal output.

· Technical Skills
a. Monitor and control the machine performance and settings for make-ready and run within specified timeframe
b. Proficient to run glue line machinery at standard speeds and to improve efficiency when possible
c. Program machine consoles with makeready, run and waste data
d. Ability to trouble-shoot machine issues and communicate to management as needed
e. Calibrate machinery
f. Maintain log of activity using the Amtech PDE module or ensure delegate
g. Strong ability to use measurement tools
h. Ability to read manuals and handbooks in order to work with technicians as needed
i. Ability to perform mathematical calculations
· Process Skills
a. Understand job ticket information and other communication both written and verbal relevant to item in production; communicate to crew as needed
b. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
c. Perform quality inspections at makeready to ensure output meets required standard for form, fit and function of the item and meets stated specifications.
d. Perform quality inspections throughout the run of each order as directed by the QMS policy
