About the Role

We’re seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Technology & Financial Systems Analyst to support strategic initiatives at the intersection of finance and IT. In this hybrid role, you’ll be instrumental in driving technology adoption, enhancing reporting tools in Yardi, and ensuring seamless systems support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

·        Assist Director of IT with Technology and Systems initiatives

·        Develop high level of proficiency with Yardi Investment Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting and Yardi Standard Reporting (YSR) tools

·        Strong understanding of AI and champion its potential use within ABR

·        Internal contact for technology and software questions/issues

·        Assist in the evaluation and selecting new software and technology components as needed

·        Primary point of contact for third party Managed Services Provider (MSP)

·        Assist with or direct the set up and configuration of new users

·        Primary support for ABR video conferencing systems

·        Conduct training sessions and prepare SOP documentation necessary for various ABR tools and software products

·        Update and maintain various files, reports and channels in Teams

·        Assist Asset Managers with preparation of annual business plans in Yardi

·        Develop and maintain various financial reports and dashboards in Yardi as required by Accounting, Asset Management and Executive Management.

·        Work with CFO to develop and maintain various Fund investment models

·        Index and post financial statements, non-US investor statements and other investor-related documents to the ABR investor portal in Yardi

·        Save, index and post all investor K-1s to the ABR investor portal in Yardi

·        Assist property accountants with mapping and monthly upload of operating property Trial Balances into Yardi

·        Other Accounting, Finance, and IT related duties as assigned

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree MIS, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related field

·        Master’s degree/MBA preferred

·        CPA, CFA, CMA or Yardi certification a plus

·        5 year’s relevant experience to include financial analysis, systems and technology implementation and reporting/data modeling

·        Advanced Excel and related financial software skills (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

·        Advanced systems skills, preferably in Yardi but can be similar ERP system

·        Strong SQL or similar programming skills for data query, analysis and modeling

·        Experience with AI tools and their use in the current business environment

·        Ability to learn and master new technology and software tools used by the company

·        General understanding of accounting and finance related matters

·        Understanding of GAAP/IFRS compliance, internal controls and audit support

·        Experience with budgeting and forecasting tools and data modeling

·        Ability to improve and maintain financial reporting tools

·        Strong writing skills (ability to create process documentation for SOPs, user guides etc. and ability to create financial and data analysis summary reports)

·        Strong presentation skills (ability to conduct training sessions for staff and/or present financial data analysis findings to executive management)

·        Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to uncover inefficiencies and technological opportunities

·        Flexibility to support off-hours systems processes and month-end/year-end reporting cycles as required

·        Ability and willingness to travel to ABR headquarters in Baltimore 3-4 days per week
