Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement education programs for Certified Nursing Assistants
- Create a lesson plan for the Nurse Aide Training Program that includes classroom and clinical training combined for at least 100 hours duration
- Teach the Nurse Aide Certification course
- Coordinate students’ clinical and classroom experiences within the facility
- Complete each nurse aide trainee’s performance record of major duties and skills learned and demonstrated
Qualifications and Skills
Skills we are looking for:
- Enthusiasm and eagerness to teach
- Clinical competency with basic nursing care
- Ability to work independently and anticipate educational need with motivation to start education
- Eagerness to learn new skills and participate in the Train the Trainer programs
Requirement/Qualifications:
- 1-year experience in Long-term care
- Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse
- CPR certified
