Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Staff Job Description
Summary
The Building & Grounds staff provides construction, building maintenance, basic lawn care skills. Valid driver's license. They need to be dependable, hard working and have initiative to get things done without direct supervision. They also provide a welcoming & professional attitude by adhering to AFCC's vision which is reaching the World through Faith, Hope & Love.
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor or Administrative Operations Manager Weekly time investment: 30 to 40 hrs a week
Participate in meetings/training: two hours a month
Essential Functions
- Maintaining & repairing building & grounds
- Make minor building repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting & requests outside repair services when necessary
- Maintain lawn & arrange snow/ice /debris removal from parking areas, sidewalks, steps etc. (less than 2 inches)
- Operate heating & cooling equipment (ensure thermostats are operational and replace batteries when needed)
- Inspect vehicle prior to driving and report any discrepancies
- Report any possible safety concerns immediately
Supportive Functions
Fill/drain baptistry as needed
Set up & take down chairs/partitions as needed for weekly services, meetings and special events
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
