General Labor (Wrapper)
ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is seeking a General Labor candidate that will be promoted into a Wrapper position after a 90-day introductory period and training in our Production Department. This role will involve general labor duties supporting the wrapping and packaging operations.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting finished goods for defects, appearance, dimensions, and customer specifications
- Wrapping, capping, plugging, and palletizing finished goods per customer requirements
- Securing and preparing cores for use in coring operations
- Reviewing and ensuring accurate labeling on rolls and pallets
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, following good housekeeping practices
- Operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely to minimize damage
- Transporting raw materials from storage to production areas as required
- Gathering and properly handling waste and scrap materials
- Following all safety procedures and policies, including hazardous waste management protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Basic math and reading skills to understand instructions and specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Forklift operating experience (preferred)
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
