What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Content Writer position at Academic Partnerships?
The Creative Content Writer is responsible for the production of copy across multi-channel digital and traditional channels within the scrum/agile process. Assignments require an unwavering attention to detail, a working knowledge of AP style and the ability to produce multiple, brand-true assets under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills are needed to work smoothly with internal and external clients in online marketing and website development.
Responsibilities Include:
Receive input from Team Leads and/or Managers to guide content creation and development.
Ensure that all marketing assets are consistent with overall business objectives and accurately reflect partner brand style and voice.
Ensure the overall quality of all content produced by the team according to content briefs, Writer’s Tips, partner brand, CMS templates, and when necessary, unforeseen contingencies.
Ensure that all content produced is complete and accurate before moving to each review step.
Responsible for escalating content issues or questions that cannot be resolved within the team to the Team Lead.
Be familiar with new AP initiatives and/or partnerships.
Attend/participate in all team and launch meetings, as requested.
Collaborate with other departments among the broader creative team
Qualifications Include:
Minimum of 3 years of experience with content development and publishing
Expert writing and communications skills
Self-motivated, can manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
Experience with content management systems and/or Wrike and/or WordPress
Proven project management and organizational ability
Ability to operate under pressure, within tight deadlines and in a dynamic environment
Demonstration of strong verbal written and presentation skills, including good grammar, spelling, punctuation and attention to detail
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Undergraduate degree, Journalism, Marketing or Advertising degree preferred
Highly skilled in editing and proofreading
Ability to both deliver and accept criticism of creative and/or managerial output
A burning desire to learn and improve, individually and on behalf of the team
