Our client located in Palm Bay, FL is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team!
The Quality Manager serves as the steward and strategic owner of our clients Quality Management System across ISO9001, AS9100, ISO/IEC 17025, and ANSI/ESD S20.20. This leader ensures operational precision, documentation rigor, test integrity, and continuous improvement throughout the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality System Ownership
- Maintain & continuously improve our clients integrated AS9100/ISO9001 QMS.
- Oversee the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation scope and technical procedures.
- Lead the ESD Program (ANSI/ESD S20.20).
- Own document control, calibration, internal audits, NCRs, CAPAs, and risk management.
- Host customer audits and pursue new certifications to increase lab effectiveness
- Develop, maintain and implement a robust training and continuous improvement program
- Build upon DLA certifications and expand capabilities for federal requirements
Process Development & Optimization
- Develop and refine SOPs, work instructions, and test documentation.
- Partner with engineering to ensure processes align with best practices and customer expectations. Implement systematic improvements that reduce risk and enhance throughput.
Training & Competency Management
- Maintain our clients company-wide training matrix.
- Develop and deliver training on QMS requirements, documentation, and lab discipline.
- Ensure staff competency aligns with ISO and AS requirements.
Audit Leadership
- Serve as the primary interface for customer, registrar, and accreditation body audits.
- Lead internal audit programs and oversee audit readiness.
- Ensure audit findings translate into measurable, permanent improvements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Embed quality thinking into every department.
- Support Engineering, Sales, and Operations with quality-related guidance.
Required Experience (5-10 years)
- Hands-on experience managing or supporting a AS9100/ISO9001 system.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.
- Experience with ESD program controls.
- Strong documentation, process design, and root-cause analysis capability.
- Background in aerospace, defense, microelectronics, semiconductor, or related fields.
