Advanced Systems Engineer - Control Account Manager

Acara Solution is looking for an Advanced Systems Engineer - Control Account Manager for our client located in Canonsburg, PA.

• This role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and organizing engineering resources required to design, procure, build, test, and document new developments and modifications to existing products.
• This position will own the EVM process and manage the control accounts that fund program execution.
• The Advanced Systems Engineer supplements the existing leadership team, including DPME and IPT leads.
• Will focus on cross-functional handovers through collecting/tracking metrics or other artifacts and ensuring tasking is correctly reflected and accomplished in the IMS (including risk mitigation).
• Meets with the IPT leads to review the status of these handovers to ensure they are on track and any issues are understood in advance.
• The IPTs are focused on their product, working with the Advanced Systems Engineer to ensure an understanding of upstream and downstream needs, impacts, and dependencies.
• Participates in proposal activities
• Establishes background knowledge on the proposed scope to inform program execution.
• Accountable to DPME and expected to operate with limited oversight, and coordinate the interface between manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering to coordinate program funding and execution.
• Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for detailed tasks, adhering to program milestones, and tracking resources within the EVM process.
• Ensure risk mitigation and opportunities are incorporated in IMS and tracked as tasks.
• Will be the Control Account Manager (CAM) for several IPTs or engineering areas.
• Collects, reviews, analyses, and acts on project metrics and data to manage resources toward meeting project commitments and deliverables objectives.
• Initiating material procurements and interfacing with Supply Chain, Vendors, and Manufacturing to ensure resource availability to support build schedules.
• Provides visibility into material order status and elevates issues to IPT leads and DPME as necessary.
• Collects and coordinates inputs from technical leads to consolidate BOM.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with inventory control, material management, and tracking.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with EVM program execution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical systems and systems engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with the technical solution supports mission objectives and requirements.

• Ability to use specialized software for collaboration and time management, including spreadsheets; Project scheduling applications like MS Project.
