General Summary
The Residential Living Sales Counselor (RLSC) has a sincere passion for working with seniors and families in order to ensure the highest level of customer service, care and to promote the quality of life of each individual. The RLSC is also responsible for maintaining and/or improving the community occupancy levels as it relates to the communities overall marketing and financial goals. This position fosters positive working relationship with referral sources including but not limited to physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing centers and community-based services and leads the community outreach and sales efforts to support the overall business plan of the communities. The RLSC is responsible for managing the ACC Assisted Living sales process and developing positive relationships with prospective residents and their responsible parties / families to facilitate the move-in process. This position reports to the Maple Tree Village Administrator (80%) and the Greenhaven Terrace Administrator (20%), and is an exempt position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops relationships with acute hospital discharge coordinators, centralized placement, social services referral coordinators, and other referring sources in order to maintain / improve the occupancy level of the community.; develops new avenues for referral sources.
- Meets monthly, quarterly and annual sales / census development goals.
- Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner and via appropriate/preferred forms of communication and documents correspondences including complete contact information into CRM system timely.
- Ensures scheduled timely follow-up with referral sources and prospective parties in CRM system; maintains accurate referral source database and tracks inquiries.
- Visits and conducts presentations of community programs and services for professional referral sources including but not limited to: doctors’ offices, senior based community services, home health agencies, adult day programs, etc.
- Represents the community in the marketplace by participating in local marketing events, fairs, professional organizations, etc.
- Participates in quarterly marketing events for census growth and community engagement.
- Coordinates with other departments as necessary with on-site and off-site marketing events.
- Provides in-home visits to prospective residents and families, as appropriate.
- Visits hospitalized residents in skilled nursing / other care settings to ensure a high level of customer services and ensure settings have necessary contacts to facilitate resident return to community.
- Ensures community model & respite rooms, sales office are appropriately set up and tour ready at all times.
- Coordinates with Maintenance to ensure units are turned over timely and ready for admissions.
- Conducts community/prospective resident interviews; ensures community tour back-up tree is updated daily.
- Leads and provides department managers with sales and tour training as needed.
- Provides prospective residents and their responsible parties education and guidance regarding the community’s services, programs and accommodations; provides required admission documents and ensures community receives necessary documents for review prior to admission.
- Reviews admission inquiries with Administrator, RCM, managers to ensure prospective residents’ needs met safely.
- Advises Administrator and Resident Care Manager(s) with regards to any concerns or situation that may have an adverse effect upon or post admission.
- Provides new residents and families with appropriate welcome gift, community information and orientation.
- Ensures adequate supply of marketing and collateral materials are available; reorders supplies as needed.
- Conducts routine community “First Impression” walk and advises manager team and Administrator on any physical plant concerns that may impact tour or current resident perceptions.
- Assists the Administrator and Marketing and Communication Manger with the development of the communities quarterly and annual marketing plans; conducts bi-yearly or as needed marketing SWOT analysis.
- Advises Administrator on opportunities and/or barriers for census development and growth.
- Participates in collaboration with the Marketing and Communication Manager bi-yearly competitor analysis from local competition and maintains up-to-date knowledge of competitor trends including rates, programs and services.
- Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of long-term care and senior resources, related laws and regulations and basic insurance knowledge applicable to senior care needs.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports on admissions, move outs, room transfers, inquiries and referral sources to Administrator.
- Participates in community operational meetings as determined by the Administrator.
- Works with ACC Fund Development to increase awareness of ACC Senior Services; participates in company events; partners with other ACC programs in order to foster company partnerships and sharing of resources as appropriate
- Submits daily occupancy reports to team members and ACC management.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, business or related field is preferred.
- Two-five years sales experience, in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care / Senior focused industry preferred.
- Proven track record of lead generation and meeting sales goals required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse resident population.
- Demonstrates ability and comfort level with presentations in individual and group settings.
- Able to plan, organize, and implement work and is flexible to shift priorities quickly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding information about residents and their families.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Salary : $66,000 - $67,000
