Delivers rapid, high-quality care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries in a fast-paced environment. Triage patients, administer medications, start IVs, and assist with emergency procedures. Collaborates with physicians and trauma teams to stabilize patients. Provides emotional support to patients and families during crisis situations.
Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, applies the nursing process to the care of patients. Teaches patients and significant others. Documents patient care in the medical record. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care of the patient.
