We are seeking IT Deployment and Testing Technician, this role will support the organization’s IT infrastructure and clinical systems, including Epic, by deploying and configuring devices, conducting software installations, and performing comprehensive testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers in clinical and administrative environments.
- Install and configure software applications to meet organizational standards and user requirements.
- Ensure all hardware complies with organizational security policies and IT standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Work closely with the IT support team to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Verify deployed devices meet performance, compatibility, and security requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing on all devices to validate readiness for Epic go-live.
- Test connectivity, application functionality, and Epic workflows on deployed devices.
- Document and address any deficiencies or technical issues identified during testing.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of deployed hardware and configurations.
- Prepare detailed documentation of testing outcomes and troubleshooting procedures.
- Contribute to deployment reports, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to schedule device deployments and testing with minimal disruption.
- Provide basic user training and support for deployed systems and devices.
- Actively participate in team meetings, providing updates on deployment and testing progress.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT hardware deployment, troubleshooting, or a related role.
- Experience with Epic or other electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in deploying and configuring Windows-based systems, peripherals, and printers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT environments, workflows, and systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualification:
- CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent IT certifications.
