Position summary-
The Administrative Assistant (AA) works collaboratively with all team members, including our Board of Directors. The AA is the key link in supporting our day-to-day operations.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Obtaining Grants.
a. researching and identifying grant opportunities that are aligned with the organization’s
mission and objectives.
b. writing, preparing, and reviewing grant requests for submission.
2. Database and records management – assists in managing and updating files.
3. Web sites, social media and collateral material – assists in creating and maintaining.
4. General office administration –
a. Maintain office phone system.
b. Maintain office equipment and oversee office services.
c. Assist with technology maintenance and updates.
d. Review, maintain, and update email distribution lists.
e. Provide campaign Support.
f. Provide support in Marketing for events, such as campaign kick-off and celebrations.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in nonprofit organizations is preferred. 1-3 years successful experience in
administrative support and office operations required.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required, associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required. Strong organizational,
written and oral communication as well as computer skills are required.
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour, 3 hours a day, 3 days a week.10:00am – 1:00pm Mon, Wed, Fri; or 8:00am – 11:00am., Tue, Thur, Fri.
