Job Description
- Answer In-Room Dining phone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
- Operate the computer system for order-taking, check printing, closing out checks and printing reports.
- Maintain knowledge of all menus (including Daily Specials, Alternative Cuisine, wine list, etc.) and of the service of food and beverage items offered by the department and the hotel.
- Up sell to guests as well as confirm their order before thanking them.
- Complete side work as assigned.
- Record all guest charges, gratuities and cash transactions accurately.
- Coordinate between the server and kitchen for smooth, coordinated service.
- Work Authorization in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Six months minimum food and beverage experience.
- Working knowledge of food, wines, spirits.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Computer skills are helpful but not required.
