Flushing Technician
Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist with all aspects of setting-up, operating, monitoring and breaking-down of equipment involved in flushing jobs. Primary work location is public and private shipyards in Hampton Roads working aboard U.S. Navy vessels.
Essential Functions:
Set Up
1. Unpack Flush and Support equipment.
2. Run and hang hoses and power per specifications.
3. System assembly.
4. Trouble-shoot.
5. Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
Operations and Monitoring
6. Complete required documentation per specifications.
7. Continuous inspection of hoses and equipment for leaks or system anomalies.
8. Assist with completion of Quality Assurance packets.
Break Down
9. Packing, which may require the ability to safely lift and carry 75 lbs of material.
10. System disassembly.
11. Draining of hoses.
12. Clean-up of all supplies, equipment and fluids in a work environment.
13. Complete end of job inventory.
Repairs and Maintenance
14. Repairing equipment such as pumps, dehydrators, filters, electrostatic precipitators. Basic plumbing, some electrical, metal fabrication and repair.
15. Standardized maintenance practices before and after each job, including but not limited to cleaning and inspecting tools and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
2. Participates in the service repair and maintenance program.

Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- 1 years of experience in similar setting preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check.
- Be willing to work long hours/ weekends/ holidays as needed.
Salary : $29,600 - $37,500
