Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role you will plan, direct, coordinate, monitor budget, track performance, and report activity to senior management, with regards to upcoming and current projects. Your expertise in construction management and estimating will be crucial in helping us deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Essential Duties and Functions
- Successfully complete project planning, estimation, contract negotiations and invoicing.
- Maintain good relationship with current customers, as well as develop new customers.
- Plan and manage projects including scheduling, fabrication, material control, and purchases.
- Work with and provide oversight to superintendents
- Recognize potential problems early, recommend solutions, and recommend/implement corrective actions.
- Assist in performing job cost projections / monitor cost, schedule and quality of the project(s) and immediately report any issues that would affect cost or schedule performance.
- Create, maintain, and analyze budgets, records, and schedules to ensure work is accomplished within budget and on time.
- Coordinate with supervision, QA, and safety to ensure work is accomplished within budget and on time.
- Ensure Superintendents and foremans develop daily and weekly plans consistent with the overall project schedule.
- Estimate by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, scope of work, and other documentation in order to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Provide all bid packages to approving parties for evaluation and adjustment.
- Track actual cost relative to bids as the project(s) develop.
- Maintain timesheets.
- Provide direction and support.
- Work independently to complete responsibilities.
Experience
- 10 years experience in the following: Heavy Industrial construction, project management, planning, and estimation.
Additional Requirements
- Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Independent judgment with an ability to anticipate production issues in advance
- Team leadership experience
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with employees and management
- Possess extensive knowledge in welding, fitting, construction processes, materials and costing methods

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
