GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We have an open position for a Data Analyst with an active TS/SCI Clearance. SATCOM and Tactical Comm experience are a plus but not required. Currently, the position is at the Mark Center in Falls Church, VA. Tasks will focus on developing dashboards for senior leaders using Qlik and Power BI for building the Dashboards and Trifacta for ETL.

SUMMARY

ACES is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO)/ Command, Control, Communications, and Infrastructure (C3I) Directorate. This Directorate in DoD CIO is responsible for the oversight of crucial DoD telecommunications infrastructure to include SATCOM systems, tactical data links, C2/ information sharing and DISN services. As a member of our team, you will facilitate the development of dashboards and visualizations using Qliksense (cloud-based version of Qlik) and Power BI to visualize progress on various Modernization strategies. Most of the data resides in SharePoint Lists that are part of a well-architected data model. You will assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of analytic and collaborative solutions in the DoD Office 365 environment to help with DoD CIO’s governance role. Reasonable proficiency with other Office 365 tools such as Microsoft Teams is desired. Familiarity with DoD’s Advanced Analytics (ADVANA) platform a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and document existing data, data flows, data requirements, and reporting needs
• Work with data owners to curate data and understand what they want to know from their data
• Able to learn how to extract, transform, and load data from SharePoint Online using Trifacta
• Develop reports and dashboard using Qlik and Power BI to help with data analysis and decision-making
• Integrate Validation Rules into the data capture process to ensure data quality

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with and knowledge of data analytics
• Proficient building dashboards in Qlik Sense and Power BI
• Proficient in Python scripting required for Databricks platform in ADVANA
• Experience with data storage, data management and data analytics/trend analysis
• 5 years of experience in the area of data analytics
• Experience with DoD SATCOM and Tactical Comm data a plus
• Knowledge and experience creating data visualizations and dashboards

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
