What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storage Associate position at Acker Storage?
Description
The Storage Associate will be a support to Acker Storage LLC’s warehouse operation. This position work as part of a team to unload, inventory and code inbound products.
- Inspect product for defects and damages.
- Unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
- Box and barcode inventory with accuracy
- Check, verify and fulfill outbound orders.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with periodic physical inventory audits.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Organize warehouse space.
- Abide by all company safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Forklift operator certification a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, stand, sit and reach.
- Stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Navigate a warehouse and reach items both high and low.
Working Conditions:
- Temperature controlled warehouse environment.
- Working hours are typically from 8am to 5pm with a half hour lunch.
- Must be available to work overtime, including Saturdays when requested.
