ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Residential Assistant Manager to assist the Residential Manager in directing the day-to-day operation of one residential group home.
The ideal candidate can manage diverse duties and multiple priorities; and is able to maintain effective relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other internal/external departments. Candidate should have strong initiative, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities in a busy residence.
This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive and productive work environment
- Assist with hiring, training and coaching all direct care employees
- Promote ACLD’s values and strategic vision
- Assist with the development and management of Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection/Behavior Support Plans
- Manage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs arise
- Assist with managing budgets and ensuring sound fiscal management procedures are being followed
- Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashion
- Diligent in complying with OPWDD and ACLD policies, rules and regulations
We require:
- High School Diploma
- One year experience working in I/DD field
- 6 months supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Clean and valid New York driver’s license
- The ability to assist with lifting and transferring a person.
