Supportive Housing Property Specialist
Charles Evans Center – Glen Cove, NY (Hybrid)
Part-Time | 20 hours per week (flexible)
Are you passionate about helping individuals secure safe, stable housing? Charles Evans Center (CEC) is seeking a Supportive Housing Property Specialist to join our Community Rehabilitation and Recovery Services team. In this vital role, you’ll help expand our residential housing portfolio by identifying suitable properties and negotiating lease agreements, ensuring long-term housing stability for those we serve.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Glen Cove, NY office, with regular travel throughout Nassau County.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and secure rental properties across Nassau County that meet program criteria.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords; promote the benefits of supportive housing partnerships.
- Negotiate lease terms that meet regulatory and programmatic standards.
- Ensure properties and landlords remain in compliance with OMH (Office of Mental Health) requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting in line with agency and OMH policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to support tenant success.
- Participate in supervision, required trainings, and agency meetings.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent college credits required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Strong knowledge of the Long Island rental and real estate market.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and databases
- Other Requirements:
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Ability to travel throughout Nassau County

Salary : $40 - $44
