You’ll take ownership of:
- Various warehouse tasks to support all sales distribution points
- Training, appraising & supervising warehouse employees
- Managing day-to-day operations (e.g., reviewing daily productivity reports, participating in department interviews, training new employees, employee relations discussions, terminations, creating cost budgets & profitability within the department, & receiving, organizing, picking, packing, stocking & shipping items sold by Acme Tools)
- Planning & coordinating schedules for Warehouse Associates to optimize productivity & ensure goals are being met
- Managing & driving positive customer experiences
- Ensuring Warehouse Associates are being held accountable for the quality of their work
- Ensuring packages are received & stocked in a timely manner
- Helping in maintaining a clean & organized warehouse to ensure accessibility & safety
- Maintaining a safe & secure work environment by adhering to & striving to improve safety standards & reporting any suspicious activity
- Helping perform all duties of a Warehouse Associate (e.g., unloading freight, comparing & inspecting goods received for order accuracy & any damages, maintaining consistent, organized, adequate stock, leading scheduled inventory events, overseeing, picking, preparing, shipping & loading products, & occasionally driving a company vehicle to deliver items)
- Completing related tasks as assigned
You’ll need to have:
- A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Strong computer skills & willingness to learn new software
- The willingness & ability to work on powered equipment (e.g., forklift)
We’d love if you have:
- Previous forklift experience
- 2 or more years of warehouse operations and/or leadership experience
- Customer service skills
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand & walk throughout scheduled shift
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend & reach
- Ability to continuously climb & descend stairs safely
