Job Title: Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer
Duration: 05 Months (With the possibility of extension)
Location: Everett, MA 02149 ( HYBRID) (1 day in office per week)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Education and Experience Level
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a major in computer science or a related field.
- Proven record of accomplishment working on large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders and with cross-functional teams.
- Build and enhance Salesforce UI experiences across Experience Cloud, Lightning App pages, Record pages, Flexipages, Flows (screen flows), and custom UI patterns.
- Develop modern front-end solutions using JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, CSS3, responsive design practices, component-driven design, and best practices for performance and maintainability.
- Knowledge of Salesforce security architecture including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and restriction rules
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning development, including Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, and CSS3, with experience building responsive and reusable UI components
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, sharing rules, and Lightning Data Service (LDS)
- Experience developing Apex classes, triggers, controllers, and test classes following Salesforce best practices
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, asynchronous processing, and platform events
- Strong experience with SLDS (Salesforce Lightning Design System) and UI performance optimization
- Knowledge of Experience Cloud (Communities) customization and Lightning-based user interfaces
- Experience debugging complex UI and backend issues using browser dev tools, Salesforce logs, and error monitoring
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and building accessible Lightning components
- Strong experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth/JWT).
- Experience implementing asynchronous integration patterns including Platform Events, Queueable Apex, Batch Apex, and error-handling frameworks.

Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Experience with SFDC specific IDE and version control configurations (Github, BitBucket) for Salesforce development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX)
- Experience with accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn plus Excellent written/verbal communication & documentation skills.
- Experience related to K-12 education/curriculum standards would be a plus.
- Experience with cloud solutions/technologies, specifically AWS, is also a plus.
- Ability to adjust to changing situations to address emergencies, program changes, or production requirements.
