Project Development Engineer

We are seeking a Project Development Engineer with 5 years of experience in the Energy Services industry (ESCO) , preferably with K-12 project experience. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) and expertise in energy analysis, project scope development, engineering design, and bidding for energy services projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage energy-related projects, including scope of work, energy calculations, and project feasibility assessments.
• Build strong relationships with customers, account managers, and business partners.
• Identify and qualify energy services opportunities within the service territory.
• Lead engineering assessments and collaborate with selected engineering firms.
• Oversee proposal development, ensuring coordination with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors.
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
• Manage subcontractor / vendor qualification, negotiation, and coordination during project development.
• Lead scope and cost estimate development for assigned projects.
• Work with supply chain teams for pricing and contracting discussions.
• Evaluate contractor and bid proposals for project selection.
• Assist in contract development and provide legal input as needed.
• Provide oversight for engineering and construction teams during project implementation.
• Develop project schedules, track expenses, and manage billing processes.
• Ensure successful project closeout and documentation.
• Provide technical training as necessary.
