Description:
- Breeds, raises and cares for small research animals on behalf of, or for sale to, customers.
- Follows proper breeding and animal care procedures.
- Monitors animal behavior and physical attributes to ensure animal health and confirm appropriate phenotype; reports any findings.
- Ensures biosecurity.
- Coordinates with Customer Service on scheduling and order status.
- Basic Animal Husbandry
- Physical job/on feet/climbing stairs to work on second level/repetitive motion
- Need Ability to work with tablet computers
- Attention to detail required
- Strict Animal Welfare compliance – the health and treatment of our animals is paramount
- Needs to be focused, punctual and engaged
- Previous work with animals preferred but not required
Preferred Skills:
- Animal care, Husbandry, Sterilization, Animal health, Veterinary, Laboratory, animal science, animal handling, animal husbandry, animal research, customer service
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
