Description

This opening is for an Architect/PM who will be responsible for managing projects from conception through completion. This person will report to Lucas but will run their projects and work with everyone within the firm. They currently have 23 people but Lucas is the only registered architect (soon to add Uzma Mirza as well). This individual will perform their own production design work in Revit but they also have a Lead Drafter who does most of the renderings, a drafter who performs much of the detailing and several in-house interior designers along with other Revit modelers.

This person will manage the project along each step from schematic design through construction and will be working with the contractors and client throughout. This will involve the occasional day travel to project meetings and sites.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Lead the programming, planning, and design efforts as a primary point of contact with clients

• Construction document production

• Construction administration including leading and documenting project meetings

• Punch list generation and follow-through to project closeout

• Prepare presentation drawings and assist with marketing efforts

• Prepare project cost estimates and project schedules

• Contract development using AIA documents

• Review drawings for conformance to local, state, and federal building codes, as well as AIA guidelines

• Prepare/edit project narratives and specifications – proficiency using MasterSpec

• Proficiency using Revit BIM, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.•

• Provide project coordination between disciplines and outside consultants

• Responsibility for final review of contract documents

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must-Haves:

* Bachelor of Architecture or Masters Degree in Architecture

* 5 years of architectural design experience (commercial experience but also flexible with some interiors experience)

* Ability to perform project management

* Ability to perform production level development of designs in Revit- high level of accuracy is necessary as they work with many of the same clients

* Strong communication skills- this individual will be working directly with their clients (many are repeat clients)

Nice-To-Haves:

* Licensed Architect

* experience related to healthcare

Flexibility:

* They do not need this person to necessarily be licensed or have to be able to get licensed, would be open to a 4 year architecture degree with the right experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $46.00/hr.
