Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in industrial projects. The Assistant Project Manager will help with planning, organization, and management of day-to-day operations. This role involves working with the client to manage, integrate, and coordinate daily activities and reviewing the progress of the work with the project management group. Additionally, the Assistant Project Manager will create and maintain the overall project tracker using existing systems while observing field progress to update reports accurately.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre/post project design meetings and attend customer/site coordination meetings, as applicable.
• Provide support to Project Managers to maintain and/or improve project margins once orders have been received.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor construction schedules.
• Review project documents and specifications to accurately develop baseline schedules, including all required dates, activities, and milestones.
• Perform progress schedule updates with comprehensive reporting and narratives.
• Update trackers daily with on-site progress using existing systems.
• Breakdown project estimates to baseline earned averages versus the bid.
• Manage and report on resources.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience developing construction project schedules and trackers.
• Willingness to travel nationally (SC, NC, AL, OH, GA).
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Microsoft Project or related software
