Job Title: BIM Manager

Job Description

We are currently hiring a BIM Manager to support a contractor in the Columbus Metropolitan area. This position is responsible for leading the BIM modeling team and overseeing the BIM modeling process. The role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models of electrical building systems in Revit.
• Create 2D field installation and fabrication drawings from 3D models.
• Provide utilization data on the BIM team to department leaders.
• Lead and support the BIM modeling team on multiple projects.
• Develop and implement BIM workflow, task management, and technical content.
• Manage software for the BIM team, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of all BIM installations.
• Analyze and solve BIM user issues.
• Support each project by managing and creating content library files and templates.
• Create and enforce standards and evaluate project models.
• Set up Revit projects assigned to the team and create Revit families needed for assigned projects.
• Set up Navisworks models for projects assigned to the team.
• Run and manage clash detection/BIM coordination for projects, and lead BIM coordination meetings.
• Review layouts, models, and shop and installation drawings.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit MEP, Revit, and electrical design.
• Experience in electrical construction, Navisworks, BIM, electrical drawings, and electrical drafting.
• Knowledge of commercial construction, modeling, 3D modeling, and construction drawings.
• 5 years of experience in 3D BIM/VDC modeling using Revit.
• 5 years of experience in Construction/MEP experience.
• 5 years of experience in BIM coordination using Navisworks or similar software.
• 2 years of experience in managing teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in data centers, healthcare, commercial, and sports facilities projects.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid schedule, with the option to work from home 2 days a week. The company predominantly works on data center projects, and this type of work will continue to be in high demand throughout the country. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00
