Job Description:
The main function of a laboratory technician is to conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists and engineers in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solid and liquid materials used in the institutional cleaning chemical market. The laboratory technician will be supporting multiple projects and project teams with a focus on machine ware washing chemicals, equipment, and ware performance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
- Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses.
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids and liquids.
- Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.
- Provide technical support and assistance to chemists and engineers.
- Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes following standardized formulas, or create experimental formulas.
- Maintain, clean, and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Write technical reports or prepare graphs and charts to document experimental results.
- Order and inventory materials to maintain supplies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology or related
- Familiar with laboratory equipment and practices
- Experience working independently
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and powerpoint
