Job Title: Civil Engineer in Training (EIT)

Job Description

Join a dynamic, multi-discipline engineering consulting firm seeking a Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) with 2-6 years of experience. You will work on light commercial and residential land development projects, contributing to site development, planning, grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewers, water systems, low impact development, and feasibility studies. This role involves producing and supporting designs and collaborating with CAD drafting staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer site development projects, including site planning, grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewers, and water systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and support low impact development initiatives.
• Collaborate with CAD drafting staff to produce design documents.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software for project designs.
• Draft Technical Information Reports and determine jurisdictional requirements.
• Design storm water systems, grading plans, sewer and water plans, and perform stormwater conveyance and detention calculations.

Essential Skills

• 2-6 years of experience in civil design specific to site development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in stormwater design calculations and using related software.
• Understanding of local codes for Western Washington.
• Knowledge of modeling software like Storm Shed, WWHM, Western Washington Stormwater Manual, KCTRS.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PE license preferred; EIT certification required.
• Familiarity with writing Technical Information Reports.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
