Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

Join the esteemed UC San Diego Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform molecular testing on different benches, including nucleic acid extractions (DNA or RNA) from blood, tissues, or buccal swabs. You will use manual pipetting for small volumes repeatedly throughout the day and interface with local LIS and EPIC systems for sample processing and accessioning. The role requires the ability to multitask efficiently.

Hard Skills

• BSN in scientific field
• Molecular experience
• ASCP certification
• EPIC experience
• Experience with molecular techniques for over 1 year
• Molecular testing
• Manual pipetting (10ul to 1ml)
• Local LIS and EPIC interface usage
• CA license

Soft Skills

• Ability to multitask
• Attention to detail

Job Type

This is a contract to hire position with a duration of 13 Weeks

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30);
