What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM Programmer position at Actalent?
Description:
-Dimensionally inspect manufactured components (manual inspection, CMM, and by assembly)
-Physically assemble components as needed following the engineering drawings
-Wrap manufactured components, tag, and gather all items for final verification
-Document all manufactured parts that fail inspection and give disposition to engineering/PM
-Assist the Project Management department with specialty applications
-Assist internal and external vendors with the manufacturing of designed components by doing in-process inspection as needed
-Utilize ERP software to receive manufactured parts into stock through work orders, record time, and review work orders
-Assist project management with verifying all physical components are allocated for on the picklist
MUST HAVES:
-4-5 years' of experience
-Experience within Zeiss Calypso CMM Programming (hit ground running with CMM Programming from Day 1, not just CMM edits & setups)
-Ability to read tight tolerances in Blueprints
-Ability to understand and read GD&T symbols
PLUS HAVES:
-Previous Aerospace experience
-Mechanically inclined, understand how things work – QC process, lean principles, etc.
