What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Actalent?
Description:
Develops, designs, and tests specialty equipment and related software programs.
• Identify and troubleshoot reported issues and provide technical support as needed
• Installation, setup and troubleshooting of post process gauging (PPG). Working with Controls Engineering and gauge manufacturers to resolve issues.
• Install work holding and cutting tools, e.g., chucks, chuck jaws, tool heads, turning and boring tool holders, gantry and turn around gripper jaws.
• Stay abreast of current technologies and develop innovative ideas to be introduced into new or existing products
• Write Fanuc G-Code CNC cutting programs per customer part
• Optimize cutting processes and gantry automation to achieve required cycle-time, while maintaining part quality and tool life.
• Sets tooling and creates machine programs to accurately manufacture the part
