Commissioning Manger of Electrical Utilities. Working on a substation project.
• Self starter with a high drive for quality, execution, and safety
• 5 years experience in on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning
• 3 years experience minimum working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning
• Proven track record and ability to interact with engineering personnel on highly technical issues, and then also interact with construction personnel on constructability, schedule, and cost issues as well
• Proven track record and ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at once
Responsibilities:
To work on behalf of the project Owner as a Commissioning Manager on a portfolio of renewable energy (wind, solar, battery storage) and substations. This position is responsible for execution of assigned substations for renewable power plant projects and teams as it relates to commissioning, start up and operational turnover.
• Responsible for ensuring commissioning activities for assigned projects are performed with high quality and adhering to all client safety policies.
• Responsible for coordination and management of, EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site, as it relates to site commissioning and startup.
• Responsible for project reliability at operational turnover with plants exhibiting as little lost time as necessary in initial operation.
• Responsible for compliance with all project contractual documents to include Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility
• Ensure proper interface is made with Transmission Operators and Independent Service Operators to ensure project energization dates are achieved.
• Management of Client’s onsite commissioning personnel
• Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
