Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

This is an opportunity to work for a highly regarded subcontractor in the Traverse City location. This position promotes growth in career through leadership.

As a Construction Superintendent, you will lead onsite installers and field employees for specific assigned projects from planning to completion. This includes budgeting, scheduling, and managing contractors while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards to ensure the security of the construction site. This role is based in Traverse City, and involves managing projects ranging from Ludington to the UP, specializing in commercial projects including hospitals, hotels, and schools. Your primary goal will be to complete all jobs assigned on time and within budget. Responsibilities also include attending startup meetings, planning and coordinating daily work, managing personnel needs, maintaining clear communication with the jobsite foreman and Project Manager (PM), managing material and equipment, documenting all extra work, and conducting weekly progress meetings.

Hard Skills

• Proficient in flooring installation construction
• Experience leading $1 Million Projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Traverse City, Michigan.

Work Environment

40 hr work weeks. Based in Traverse City, but involves driving to and managing local jobsites. Managing 15-20 jobs concurrently
