Description:
Assignments may include:
Supporting the evaluation of system design using model based systems engineering tools, supporting vulnerability analysis of systems, participation in component trade studies, and system security cyber certification support.
Candidate may perform analysis and evaluation to design, implement, test and secure systems, networks, and architectures.
Conduct certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) policy.
Must Haves:
1. STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide)
2. Linux System Administration
3. Information Assurance
Performance Information Assurance analyses in compliance with the US Government's Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) of confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements. Assess system designs for design flaws. Perform Boundary Scans in compliance with applicable STIGs. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, detailed trade studies, and requirements allocation to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. May be hands-on with lab systems and tactical radar systems.
Needed:
• Familiarity with IA-related topics specific to gov’t contracting and RHEL (7 and 8, specifically) and Windows to a lesser extent
o STIG
o Network-based IA scans
• Linux system administration (RHEL 7/8 but any linux experiance is probably fine)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Role Specific Experience/Education:
Experience with implementation and administration of networking solutions (Arista Preferred).
Experience configuring and maintaining firewalls and access control lists.
Experience with virtualization to include hypervisor implementation and administration.
Experience architecting and engineering secure systems and solutions.
Bash, perl, python and other scripting experience.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, knowledge of RMF, NIST, and other govt., DoD, standards, policies and frameworks.
Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to perform root cause analysis and define preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
Ability to effectively evaluate different security solutions (for example IPSEC vs TLS) and provide recommendations on the solution best aligned with overall system design, impact, and programmatic objectives.
Ability to effectively document complex solutions in an easily understood and concise manner.
*Candidates with DoD 8570 Certifications desired
A Secret Level Security Clearance is required for this position
