Job Title: Data Center Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Data Center Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical systems and equipment within the data center environment. You will perform tasks such as making rounds, recording building observations, and taking measurements, all with varying levels of supervision. You will learn to operate systems safely and understand the associated risks while monitoring and inspecting facility equipment for abnormal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tasks including making rounds, recording building observations, and taking measurements.
• Learn to operate all systems and equipment safely and professionally, understanding associated risks.
• Monitor and inspect critical environment-related facility equipment for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
• Monitor the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment within the data center.
• Utilize the internal computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track equipment assets and complete work order requests.
• Perform various types of maintenance including planned, predictive, and corrective as assigned.
• Assist in prepping materials and perform administrative tasks as instructed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting independently and participate in complex troubleshooting with guidance.
• Document tasks and issues found in maintenance and escalate as needed.
• Assess and identify necessary resources and equipment to support environmental health and safety objectives.
• Prepare and submit required reports using preexisting scripts and templates.
• Document completed work for senior-level review.
• Develop methods of operating procedure and standard operating procedures for safe execution.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years technical services experience in high-availability assembly, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including UPS projects and floor power.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in data centers or similar industries such as oil fields.
• Background in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Mission-critical experience is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
