What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer position at Actalent?
We are currently seeking an electrical design engineer to join our Waukesha, Wisconsin team. This is a hybrid position but the candidate must reside in Southeastern Wisconsin.The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Electrical systems design and engineering. The position will be working in a team setting with engineers and designers from all disciplines.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelors or associates degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology.
- 3-5 years’ experience in electrical engineering for buildings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with existing building systems take-offs and design.
- Preparing documents for bid, drawings and specifications
- Construction administration experience, shop drawings and field visits.
- Knowledge of the electric codes.
- Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to complete projects with exacting guidelines/standards and not afraid to ask questions and learn.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks.
