Description:
This project will be supporting the Substation Design and Engineering group with a large local utility. As an Electrical Designer you will be working on electrical assembly related projects within Substation Design. Most of your interaction will be with the CAD design lead and Electrical Assembly engineers. You will assist in the preparation of engineering site plan sets, designs, and specifications for construction drawing packages.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
5 year of substation design experience utilizing Microstation and AutoCAD 5 year of experience with ProjectWise 5 year of experience with BlueBeam The Electrical Engineer provides drafting red-&-green mark-ups to the designer in PDF format utilizing BlueBeam software. Drafting is completed by designer utilizing Bentley Microstation. The designer needs to have working knowledge of basic CAD standards and drawing requirements, and principles, to ensure compliance with PSE requirements, Substation department standards, and jurisdictional codes. Experience with CAD drafting. Such as one-lines, wiring schematics, mechanical detailing, (civil) site plans or plan and profile views of electrical equipment is desired but not a requirement. Periodic site visits to project locations/substations throughout PSE service territory to verify site conditions for design and as-building of projects. The designer will assists in preparation of engineering plan sets, designs, and specifications for construction drawing packages including but not limited to: i. Station electrical assembly site plan view, elevations, and details ii. Station conduit & cable site plan view, cross sections, and details iii. Station conduit & cable trench plan view and details iv. Station conduit and cable schedules v. Station grounding site plan view, cross sections and details vi. Detailing of electrical equipment and interconnections
