What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Designer position at Actalent?
Description:
Candidate will perform advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications (PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, AutoCAD, Microstation, MS Office), electrical standards (WAC, NESC, RUS, ASCE, client, etc.) and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. Will provide support to engineering professionals in design projects range from pole relocations, line rebuilds to the complete design of new transmission or distribution lines. Coordinates work to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely release of engineering designs. Candidate will prepare or review: · Structure loading drawings · Support of environmental permitting exhibits · Support of right-of-way support exhibits · Transmission and distribution line hardware and structure assembly drawings · Material and equipment specifications · Understand line design parameters · Project budgets, schedules and estimates · Experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations. · Familiarity with design codes and standards such as WAC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC. · Familiarity with construction & constructability practices & principles. · Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills. · Detail oriented.
