What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
Electrical Engineer to work on project based work for project updates around efficiency and refrigerant upgrades. This position will research and source for vendors such as wire harness, connectors, relays, switches, contactors, circuit breakers, terminals, etc.
They will have to pull up Creo Electrical drawings using Windchill to be able to access schematics and layouts of panels. They will then know how to size wires and voltages given their electrical experience.
if on existing projects they will support of sustaining products including quality improvements, cost reductions, component obsolescence, failure analysis.
Evaluation and approval of components to meet requirements for availability, performance, and cost
Evaluation of failures to determine root cause and corrective actions
If production has an issue with an electrical component they will go to the floor troubleshoot the issue and determine whether it is a design issues, supplier quality issue or production issue.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Degreed Electrical Engineer or Engineering Technology degree with a relevant co-op or internship or a strong Electrical engineering technician. Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and read schematics and determine root cause. Communication is also key as they will be interfacing with all different team members and skill level throughout the plant
